Mountain Forge Escape
we stayed at a new campsite in Ardfield for the weekend. It's 30 euro per night for a van with up to 4 people and 40 if there are more than that. The price includes 16 amp electricity, free showers, fully equipped kitchen with full cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle, cups, plates, cutlery,2 showers in each toilet and 1 family/wheelchair shower. There's a playground and gaa pitch 10 minutes walk along a private pathway from the site. There is a pub/restaurant/takeaway 1.6km walk along the same path. The beach is 4km in one direction and Clonakilty town is 4km the other direction submitted by W O'C 11/10/20

Peak season June-Sept €35 for a 4 berth and €45 for 5 berth.
EHU is included in this.

Lovely spot, great welcome from Conor and help for some rookie campers. Facilities were great and kept very clean and they’re big on recycling. Beautiful location, easy to get to from Clonakilty - no hairy stretches! It’s a short spin to Red Strand and a nice walk to the nearby playground at the GAA grounds. The food at the pub is great, and there’s plenty of parking if weather isn’t great. Advise sticking to the smaller road if walking to the pub with kids, as its quieter and cars aren’t going as quickly. Would love if the campsite had a closed in area for kids to play in so shaved off one star. Will be back for sure.
