Found a lovely friendly pub that will welcome campers. It is Scanlon's Bar in a little friendly village called Knockaderry. Ideally located a couple of km off the main road. 15 minutes from Adare and a 5 minutes from Newcastle West. Plug in and water available to all (5 EHU points). Large safe and quiet Carpark at the rear of the pub. Super welcome from locals and the owners Mike and Mary. FREE if you have a few drinks. PINTS are unbelievable or a donation of a very fair €10 if you only want to park up with EHU. It is not an aire, just a pub but a lovely safe and relaxed stop over.
